Christopher H. Purdy
Chris Purdy is the Chairman of the Board of DKT International and also serves as president and CEO. From 1996 to 2011, he served as country director of DKT programs in Turkey, Ethiopia and Indonesia. He is also the founder and CEO of carafem, which provides reproductive health services through clinics and telemedicine in the USA. He is the author of numerous articles on family planning, philanthropy, and social entrepreneurship. He attended Carleton College with a degree in sociology and anthropology and obtained a Masters degree in nutrition from Cornell University.
Daniel Marun
Dan is the Global Chief Operating Officer of DKT International. From 1997 to 2021, he served in multiple positions at DKT Brazil, where in 2007 he ascended to country director, and in 2016 to regional director for Latin America South. Managing one of the largest operations at DKT, he led the expansion into 9 Latin American countries with a diverse SRH product portfolio, delivering significant impacts to the lives of women and couples throughout the region. Dan is fully committed to the DKT mission and cause, social marketing, and social entrepreneurship. He graduated from the Catholic University of São Paulo and holds three master’s degrees in Public Finance, Business, and Business Economics. He loves spending time with his family, taking long walks, listening to music, and reading.
Keri Stockland
Keri is the Chief Financial Officer and leads DKT’s Global Finance and Accounting function. Keri has over 20 years combined experience in CFO advisory, public accounting and industry experience working in accounting and financial reporting roles for publicly traded companies. She has global working experience, and has worked onsite in Eastern Europe, UK, Asia and South America to assist organizations with post-acquisition finance integration and IPO readiness activities. Keri attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where she earned a bachelor of science in accounting. Keri holds an active CPA license.
Tracy Yuan
Tracy is the Global Corporate Controller and Vice President of Finance. Tracy has over 15 years of combined experience in external audit, internal audit, financial transformation, and technical accounting. Tracy obtained her undergraduate degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University in China, majoring in International Business – Industrial Foreign Trade. She also attended Texas A&M University, where she earned a Master’s degree in Accountancy. Tracy holds an active CPA license and CFA designation.
Stephanie Gallagher
Stephanie is the Director for Global Programs and Development at DKT where she oversees DKT’s donor-financed portfolio. She is a strategic and multi-disciplinary global health leader with 15+ years direct implementation and technical and management experience across programs in Africa, Asia and the US. She spent 10+ years at PSI, serving as Deputy Director for East Africa and then Regional Representative for West and Central Africa, leading the program design and metrics-driven management of roughly $100 M USD (annual) in project funding across 12 countries. Stephanie holds a BA from Clemson University, an MA from Georgetown University and was a Fulbright Scholar to Germany. She is also a 2021 global cohort member of the WomenLift Health Leadership. In her free time, Stephanie spends time with her two kids and dog — usually at soccer games and walking the local trails.
Carlos Hernandez
Carlos is the Financial Special Projects Manager. Previously, Carlos has been a proprietor of several small businesses in El Salvador, as the office coordinator for Pop Rocks, and worked in the Comptroller’s Office at American University in Washington, DC. He is experienced in all aspects of accounting and handles DKT’s payroll of domestic and international staff and the reconciliation of the general ledger of the DC Headquarters. Carlos has a passion for gourmet cooking and contemporary Latin American music.
Aviva Ma
Aviva is the Senior Accountant of Accounting Operations. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Information Systems. Before joining DKT full-time, Aviva worked as a finance and accounting intern with DKT. During her leisure time, she enjoys making crafts, bullet-journaling, and reading novels.
Will Liu
Will Liu is a Staff Accountant at DKT. He graduated in June 2020 from George Washington University with a Master’s degree in Accountancy. His main work includes providing accounting support to the DKT country offices for global reporting. He also assists the HQ month end closing by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. In his spare time, Will likes to play basketball, watch movies, and travel with friends.
Lashelle Funchess
Michelle Schaner is the Communications Manager at DKT International. She is an international development and communications professional with 18+ years of experience working on programs that promote media development and social change, mostly overseas (Myanmar, China and India). She holds two Masters’ degrees – in Intercultural Relations (Lesley University) and Communication for Development and Social Change (Temple University). At DKT, Michelle leads the organization’s strategic communications effort. Originally from the Midwest (Ohio), Michelle appreciates the chaos of a crowded Asian city as much as a long hike in the woods, a hot yoga class and a silent meditation retreat. She thinks animals make good company, too.
Aminou Hamanwabi
Aminou is the Business and Internal Controls Senior Analyst of DKT International. He has 6+ years of combined experience as a Senior Finance Officer and Internal Auditor. Aminou has worked with several NGOs including USAID Deliver Project, PSI, EGPAF, IRI, and Enviva among other companies. He speaks English, French, and some Arabic. He holds a BS in Finance from Montplaisir University in Tunis and an MBA in Accounting and Corporate Finance from Colorado Heights University. In his free time, Amine enjoys traveling, watching soccer games, and spending time with friends and family.
Eloïse Cowan
Eloïse is a Senior Programs and Development Associate at DKT International. Originally from France, she is fluent in French, English, and Spanish. She graduated from Carleton College with a degree in Biology with the aim of working in global public health. While in college, she acquired public health and non-profit experience as a newsletter writer and leadership team member. She hopes to harness her skills to promote reproductive justice and health equity. In her free time, she enjoys baking, hiking, and reading.
Dane Swanser
Dane is a Program Officer on the Programs and Development team who works primarily on grant writing and communications. He graduated from Carleton College in June of 2023 with a BA in History, and while at Carleton worked for the Center for Community and Civic Engagement and served various roles, including Editor-in-Chief, for The Carletonian, Carleton’s student newspaper. Dane is originally from North Carolina and in his spare time can be found at the bouldering gym, in one of DC’s bookstores, or exploring DC’s fantastic food scene.
Charlotte Weiser
Charlotte is a Communications and Knowledge Management Associate who supports the Communications Manager, the President, and the COO. She graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara in June of 2023 with a BA in Cultural Anthropology and Communications. While at UC Santa Barbara, Charlotte worked as the Director of Engagement and Outreach and Co-Chair of UCSB First, a student-run philanthropy organization. In her free time, Charlotte enjoys traveling, reading, and watching movies.
Sonya Davidson
Sonya is a Program Officer on the Programs and Development team. She graduated from Carleton College in June of 2024 with a BA in Sociology and Anthropology. While at Carleton, Sonya worked for the Carleton Writing Center as a Writing Assistant and Peer Consultant, and she also supported various research projects surrounding SRH both domestically and internationally. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time in Rock Creek.
